SU-TIME WELL SPENT

I needed a prototype for my Angel Class for church, so I played with this set. The only difficult part was cutting the curved paper with the SU punch...the yellow is the back of the card...the coral color with the embellishments don't go all the way to the right.

A New Look for My Page !

Whoo-hoo...thanks darling daughter...you did a fantastic job! My baby set up this blog for me and now she's getting it all decorated up and looking nice for me...I think she did a really good job, don't you !

I'm having a small group of friends coming over to make a greeting card holder/folder and I'm trying to come up with some kind of easy designs/etc for them to use on the front and insides of the folder. So I'm going through some stamps right now searching. And in September our Angels group is gearing up again to keep up with our church's BD/Anniversary/Get Well needs. We were all so busy during the summer, we took some time off, but now it's time to get going again.

Wish me luck and hope my brain doesn't get stumped again!

Run-a-way Stamp...Help!

I've lost a stamp...I hope not, but I can't find it yet...so for all purposes for me right now...it's lost ! If you'll look at the card with the chicken with the bug eyes and his arms spread out, this is the one I'm searching for...I luv this stamp...so if I can't find I'll HAVE to get another one...problem is...I can't remember which online company I bought it from...so if you recognize the mfg. please, please, please...let me know...I'm having heart palpitations trying to find this run-a-way stamp!

Gina K. Designs

Sunday is Scott's BD. The big double digits 55. This is a Gina K. Design old age stamp set.

1st Attempt--Zutter--Greeting Card Holder

Ok...now I know you're laughing, thinking...what in the world?? These two wires were my 1st attemps at using my new scrapping toy, the zutter binding system. It's really not hard once you learn the basics, but as you can see...you CAN boo-boo... :{

I used some plastic stencil blanks for the front and back, and the leopard print is the stiff felt. I haven't embellished it yet, still working on that, but for the first try, it came out fairly well...still wroking on tweeking it though...

Oops...forgot...

Forgot...the front wording stamp is from River City Rubber Works...

Stampin Up--Pattern of Friendship -- BoBunny--Ornamental

Wow...I feel like I'm finally learning some stuff...I made this card for my Mother-in-law...today is her birthday...she's 79 !
She used to do a lot of sewing, so I think she'll like this.
The bottom left stamp is a corner stamp from BoBunny...it's an acrylic unmounted stamp set I bought at a little scrapbook store while I was in Carthage. You can't see too much of it, but it really stamps out a clear nice looking image. the top page of the card is cut shorter than the back, the measurement ribbon is actually on the inside back page, and then the front page images kind of hang over a bit...I used 3d stickers under the front images so the heart pins would have a bit more room. And of course, Copic Markers...luv those markers...absolutely luv them... :) !

My wonderful, adorable children !

My awesome little babies...all grown up...time really does go by fast...

Greeting Cards

I'm still working on this stubborn scanner. I took these w/my digital camera and I'm not good with it either, so it's kind of blurry...sorry...I'm still working on getting better with this...bear with me...

Plhhhhht!

I'm so bummed...I've tried all nite and most of the day to scan and post some greetings cards and my software scanning program isn't working...I think it bit the dust. I've ordered a new one and hopefully when it comes in, that'll fix my problems... :(

Where to start???

Good question, isn't it...at least for me it is. I'm very new to blogging, not young in age, but new to blogging. I've seen so many wonderful and enjoyable blogging sites, I'm gonna give it a try. I absolutely love the scrapping blogs, so this is what I'm really going to work for. New ideas for more cards to share.

I "try" to lead a Card Ministry group at the church where my family attends. We're solely funded by ourselves, so most times we are very limited to just how much "bling" we can put on our cards, but I think we do fairly well. My philosophy is..."You can never be too gawdy...or have too many rhinestones!" So sometimes I find myself having to calm down my embellishments. And I luv the quirky crazy stamps...the silly old people with sometimes really smarty pants sayings. But I know some people wouldn't appreciate this kind of dumb humor, so I don't use those for the Ministry stamps, I try to stay simple and normal for that area of stamping...but I do luv those crazy old ladies in the leopard print capris with the mile high hair do's...lol ! I'm laughing right now, cos I'm thinking of one stamp in particular...leopard capris, a fox stole on her shoulders, mile high hair, lots of eye shadow and a long dangling cigarette. These are the kinds of goofy stamps I like. Funny...not vulgar, but kind of stupidly funny.

I'm also going to try to figure out how to post some cards. I may have to sweet talk my darling daughter to figure that out, but I'm working on it. I'm gonna go and try to play with some more stuff and learn how to post more...

later
